The World Economic Forum recently published a report on comparative competitiveness in this sector of 141 nations that allows calculating the countries in which tourists spend more.
The calculation is based on a combination of the cost of living, gasoline, transportation and various taxes, including those charged at airports.

BBC Mundo asked Tom Hall, Editorial Director of the travel guide "Lonely Planet", an analysis of this tourist ranking.
